It could be the end of rain checks for tennis in Auckland.
Tennis Auckland said plans to weather-proof the ASB Tennis Arena in Parnell are progressing well.
It involves replacing the western stand and constructing a retractable roof over the centre court.
CEO Brent Robinson said the project will cost more than 18 million dollars, and they're yet to secure 40 percent of the budget.
He said if they don't confirm the rest of their funding soon, it could impact their building timeline, and affect next year's ASB Classic.
