Brandon Stronge: Loophole to bring cannabis into NZ legally

The Cannabis Party believes it's found a loophole to legally bring medicinal cannabis into New Zealand.

The party's Mt Roskill by-election candidate Brandon Stronge is organising tours to California, with doctors lined up to prescribe and outlets ready to supply.

He told Larry Williams he knows of four people who have used that loophole to get past customs with cannabis.

"Basically if you have a medication prescribed to you from an overseas doctor you're allowed to come into the country with one month's supply of that medication. That can include cannabis but it can be any medication."
