Roger Federer's survived a monumental scare in his first round match at the US tennis Open in New York.
The 19 time Grand Slam champion needed five sets to overcome young American Frances Tiafoe in a thrilling 4-6, 6-2, 6-1, 1-6, 6-4 match.
Federer said it was an incredible match.
"It was more than a test, it was a good one. I'm very happy with the match, it was exciting and it's kind of why I came to New York as well, to go through these emotions."
It will be a busy day tomorrow, with a majority of matches called off today due to rain.
Federer will have to wait to find out who he'll face in the second round.
