There's a plea from some Auckland beach-goers to those thinking about catching fish with nets this summer.
Set-netting is a summer tradition for many families, but the practice is being banned at some beaches and monitored at others.
Hatfields Beach resident Neil Henson says nets can ruin the beach experience for everyone else... including swimmers and other fishers.
