Asylum seekers on Manus Island say they're losing hope after the Australian Government rejected New Zealand's refugee offer.
Australia closed the camp last week, leaving hundreds of people barricaded inside without food or water.
Jacinda Ardern offered to take 150 refugees in her meeting with Malcolm Turnbull, but he said 'no', instead holding out for a deal with the United States of America.
One of the refugees, Behrouz Boochani said their situation is becoming more dire every day.
"We are struggling with starvation. The quality of water, rain water, we are not sure that it is clean or not," he said.
The refugees are refusing to go to the three other accommodation facilities on Papua New Guinea over fears for their safety and hygiene.
Boochani said coming here was their only hope.
"There are people on Manus who always think of New Zealand as this big opportunity to take us from this hell hole.
"Australian government have kept us in this prison town for more than four years. We are not bad people."
