Newly released documents show New Zealand spies targeted the communications of the aides and confidants of the Prime Minister of Solomon Islands.
The Herald on Sunday, working with journalist Nicky Hager, has obtained a 2013 document which lists names of the inner circle of the then Solomon Islands government.
The document also shows the GCSB programmed an electronic surveillance system to scoop up documents from the Prime Minister's chief of staff.
