UPDATED 3.35PM:Â Four to five hundred people have delivered a petition with more than 4500 hand-signed signatures to the Governor-General's residence asking him not to sign off on the controversial TPP deal.
It's one of numerous anti-TPP protests around the country leading up to the official signing of the document on February 4.
TPP-Free Wellington organiser Greg Rzesniowiecki said it was a moving handover and the Governor-General's secretary accepted the petition graciously.
"We had four youngsters from Te Atiawa and Ngati Toa and they hongied him as they handed over the petition and we formally read out the contents of the petition."
Anti-TPP protests are also being held in Rotorua, New Plymouth, Christchurch, Dunedin and Nelson today.
