The community is rallying behind a Christchurch sports hub destroyed in a suspected arson.
The New Brighton Cricket Clubrooms burnt to the ground in the early hours of yesterday morning, destroying priceless memorabilia and team gear.
The club was also a WWII memorial and community centre.
Following the earthquakes it was uninsured.
A Givealittle campaign to help rebuild the club and support the teams has already raised $1080.
A gear company, Cricket Express, has also donated $1500 worth of junior playing gear and practice equipment.
A club spokesperson said public help will mean the season can go ahead for both junior and senior players in October.
