Denise Potter's family have scoured Dunedin, Mosgiel and Alexandra but have failed to find any sign of her.

The 53-year-old went missing from her daughter's property in Dunedin on Monday.

Police say at this stage there is nothing to suggest fowl play. 

Her husband Steve says a lot of people have helped their search efforts, allowing them to search their properties and contacting their neighbours to try find any information on her whereabouts.

"I think that's so much the frustrating thing for us...we have had a pretty
concentrated search with a lot of people and haven't uncovered anything so that is really quite hard to take."

Steve Potter says it's amazing and humbling how people have banded together to help the family in the extensive search for his wife.

"I think at the moment, because we're so busy involved in the search we really haven't had our feet on the ground long enough to really grasp the reality of it and probably the seriousness of it."

Steve Potter says the family is just keeping on going at the moment, and hoping to uncover a lead as to Mrs Potter's whereabouts.

Police are urging anyone with information to get in touch.
