Two hundred customers in the Bay of Plenty are yet to have their electricity reconnected following a weekend of wild weather.

Powerco Acting Network manager Dean Stevenson says they hope to have everyone reconnected within the next couple of hours.

High winds overnight resulted in power cuts in both the Bay of Plenty and Coromandel, with many caused by trees falling on overhead lines.

Mr Stevenson says repair crews have made steady progress, but there may be a few isolated properties without power overnight.
