New Zealand's being given a pat on the back for taking some steps against foreign bribery.
The global anti-corruption group Transparency International has released a report on the enforcement of the OECD Anti-Bribery Convention.
It shows New Zealand's moving up in the ranks from having little or no enforcement of the convention - to having limited enforcement.
The group says while positive progress towards an anti-corruption strategy is being made, more meaningful action is needed to ensure New Zealand doesn't lag behind.
Meanwhile, New Zealand's being congratulated for improving its stance against bribery, it seems there's still room for improvement.
Transparency International New Zealand director Fiona Tregonning says more meaningful action is still needed to ensure a collective commitment to being corruption-free.
