A major methamphetamine link has been cut off by New Zealand and Thai authorities.

New Zealand Customs and police had been working with their Thai equivalents throughout 2015 before making the arrest of a major supplier last month.

Customs Investigations Manager Maurice O'Brien said the arrest in Bangkok is a great win for both countries.

The supplier had been smuggling the drug into the country using clutch purses, a flower vase and car shock absorbers.
