Auckland Transport's got big plans for commuters North West of Auckland.
It's seeking the public's opinion on what to do about the transport problems caused by growing populations north west of Auckland.
Residents as far out as Kumeu and Huapai are being asked to submit their say on proposed transport upgrades and additions to State Highway 16.
Project Director Theunis van Schalkwyk said they're considering building a bus-way like the Northern route and further extensions to the commuter rail system.
He said they want to ensure the transport network remains effective in connecting people to jobs in the centre city.
Rodney councillor Penny Webster said significant new transport infrastructure will be needed to support about 30,000 new houses and 13,000 new jobs in the north west.
They want to hear from commuters where congestion's building up and what projects to prioritise over the next 30 years.
