Wellington cats may be left with mere memories of nights in the moonlight.
LISTEN ABOVE: Iona Pannet, Wellington City Councillor joins Larry Williams to discuss the Council's proposed cat restrictions.
The Council is considering a cat curfew, which would see pet cats locked inside between 7pm and 7am every night.
The hope is that keeping moggies off the streets at night will be good for native birds.
The cat curfew is among a list of animal bylaw changes, including limiting the number of cats per household, which the environment committee will discuss next week.
