More than 1500 Auckland homes are currently without power.
Vector's advising customers on its website that a feeder fault has caused 1582 houses to lose power.
It said emergency services have called them to advise there are lines down.
Power is expected to be restored to the homes which are in the Epsom-Mount Eden area by 2:30pm this afternoon.
