One person has died following a serious car and truck collision on State Highway 1 in Amberley in north Canterbury.
The incident occurred around 11.15am.
State Highway 1 remains closed with diversions in place at Leithfield and Grays Roads.
The Police Serious Crash Unit is investigating the cause of the crash.
