UPDATED 11.25am: A climber has died after a 300-metre fall in Mt Cook National Park.
Other climbers with the woman when she fell set off an emergency beacon, and she was eventually found by police.
The woman was taken to Aoraki Mt Cook Rescue Centre, but has since died.
