A joint operation between customs and police has seen the arrest of a man for over $10 million worth of drugs hidden in children's toys.
The 25 year-old was arrested in Auckland on Friday as part of an operation targeting the drug ephedrine.
Customs intercepted a shipment of pellets from China containing plastic toys last week, instigating the operation.
Detective Inspector Bruce Good says that much ephedrine can make more than $60 million of methamphetamine.
The man was charged with importing a class B drug and will appear in Auckland District Court today.
