There are reports of an evacuation from the Palms Shopping Centre in Christchurch due to a bomb threat.

They say they're not actively seeking offender and do not want the public to be alarmed - but they are asking the public to stay away from the area.
Two fire crews, one from St Albans and the other from Christchurch, are assisting police
They received an alarm activation at quarter to 11 this morning and are currently standing by.
Surrounding shops have not been affected, and traffic is still free-flowing along Marshland Road.
