Winston Peters told Mike Hosking the current government has also created strains on infrastructure, education and health.

Winston Peters said we should only be accepting immigrants who will fill gaps in the workforce and help the economy.
He also argues it is nonsensical to cut tax rates when the Government's debt's gone up eight-fold since Bill English has been the Finance Minister.
Finance Minister Bill English has announced lowering income tax on low to middle income earners remains a priority, but would be dependent on fiscal and economic conditions.
Peters says Bill English borrowed big money in 2009 to give tax cuts and we're still paying it back.
"Well we can't afford them, and that's the problem. The facetious statement by Mr Key, perhaps $3 billion for a tax cut, is really ludicrous in the extreme. I don't know why he said it."
