In the wake of the worst mass shooting in American history -- the US has had more than 6,000 deaths this year alone and, according to the American Medical Association, gun violence is now "a public health crisis" with long-lasting psychological effects.
CNN's Jeremy Roth reports in this video that someone is shot in the US every four minutes and there are approximately more than 100,000 Americans shot per year.
