A South Island cattle feedlot will be culled, as efforts continue to finally eradicate cattle disease Mycoplasma bovis in New Zealand.
The programme is targeting the sole remaining pocket of confirmed infection in Mid-Canterbury - and will also bring in strict new biosecurity measures for the surrounding area.
MPI M bovis Programme Director, Simon Andrew, told The Country they're working with the owners to depopulate the feedlot.
He says they'll be also then clean and disinfect before re-population.
