Former New Zealand Merino Company chief executive John Brackenridge stepped down last year, after 27 years in the role.
He was replaced by Australian agritech leader Angus Street in August 2023.
Brackenridge was also made a New Companion of the NZ Order of Merit in the New Year’s Honours for services to the New Zealand food and fibre sectors.
He spoke to The Country's Rowena Duncum about his impact on New Zealand's merino industry.
