Chris Hipkins has been campaigning up and down the country in the lead up to the election, attempting to turn his falling popularity around. Â Â
The latest 1News-Verian poll results are placing National on 36% while Labour sits at 26%, and Christopher Luxon has soared ahead of Hipkins as preferred Prime Minister in the latest Newshub-Reid poll.Â
Hipkins told Jamie MacKay that he thinks they’re picking up momentum and will do significantly better in the election than the polls have been indicating.Â
He said that he thinks it will surprise people as to how well they do in regional New Zealand. Â
