New Zealand's four big media companies could potentially be taking legal action over the use of global mode, now that their cease and desist notice has expired. ‘Global mode’ accesses offshore steaming content like us Netflix. Callplus is among those providers who's declined and say the stand by their strongly-held belief that access to the internet via global mode is completely legal. Spark's Lightbox,  Mediaworks, Sky and TVNZ have banded together to say companies who profit by marketing and providing access to content they haven’t paid for are in breach of copyright.
