A limited train service has reopened on Auckland's southern line after police gave permission for one of the two lines to be reopened at Papatoetoe.
A spokesman for Auckland Transport said the line was closed this morning after a driver reported seeing a body on the tracks.
Police are at Papatoetoe train station after the body was reported about 7.30am.

All trains had been cancelled, delaying hundreds of passengers at rush hour.
Auckland Transport has provided five buses to shuttle stranded commuters past Papatoetoe.

An Auckland Transport spokesman said all train services on the southern line south of Middlemore - which normally run every 10 minutes at rush hour - have stopped, which will affect eastern line trains travel through Middlemore. Southern line trains from Britomart will stop at Otahuhu.
Eastern line services are also suspended between Sylvia Park and Manukau, and southern line services from Britomart will stop at Otahuhu.
