John Banks joins Leighton Smith to talk about the Independent Police Conduct Authority releasing the findings of their report. Now that final court proceedings are over - with the Court of Appeal quashing his conviction and ruling that there should be no re-trial - the IPCA has released its own ruling on the case. It says it was reasonable for police to decide they couldn't prove beyond reasonable doubt that Mr Banks had signed his electoral return in 2012 knowing that donations were falsely recorded as anonymous. Chair Judge Sir David Carruthers says the police investigation was thorough and robust, and not subject to political interference.
