New Zealand's own 'Prince of the Provinces' has taken a shot at the Green Party following James Shaw's departure.

Shaw announced yesterday that he will step back from March - but stay on in Parliament for the first reading of his Right to a Sustainable Environment Bill.

NZ First MP Shane Jones says Shaw was phased out to make way for the Greens' new direction as an 'identity politics' Party.
