Jacinda Ardern is being congratulated for her approach to trade with the United Kingdom.
Our Prime Minister has met with her British counterpart Theresa May in London.
BBC senior world affairs producer, Stuart Hughes, told Mike Hosking it's not clear what Britain's trade deals are going to look like after Brexit.
"It's certainly, by meeting Theresa May today, Jacinda Ardern very clearly positioning New Zealand as one of the countries that will want to take advantage of that new trade relationship post Brexit."
He says it's also not known how close it's going to remain to the European Union and how much independence it's going to have to negotiate its own trade deals.
Britain's promising a financial boost to New Zealand and other small countries to help protect them from cyber attacks.
Ardern has discussed intelligence sharing at the meeting in London with May.
"Britain has pledged to provide more money to cyber security, particularly for the smaller Commonwealth countries and Jacinda Ardern has said that the defensive cyberspace is something she's concerned about."
Hughes says the leaders of Canada and Australia - the other Five Eyes intelligence alliance members also in London at the moment - were also there.
