Barnaby Joyce is standing down, but the problems aren't over for the Australian government.
Joyce will resign as deputy Prime Minister and Nationals leader today following revelations of his relationship with a former staffer and allegations of sexual abuse.
Bot the Liberals and Nationals hope the resignation will allow them to move on and put the scandal behind them.
But Australian political analyst Geoffrey Hawker told Mike Hosking it's going to take a lot for the coalition partners to repair their broken relationship.
"It's such a bad look for the government, they cannot keep going like this. The electorate is not going to cop a divided party."
