Chorus is blaming a lack of tech-industry workers for a string of faults, that have left homes and businesses without their phones and internet for weeks on end.
The company's General Manager of Infrastructure has again apologised to its customers, on air with Mike Hosking this morning.
Ed Beattie said they've struggled to keep up with demand, and their communication with customers hasn't been good.
He said they haven't got enough people in the industry - they're about 250 techs short - and there's a lot of investment in infrastructure work going on across the industry.
