The Givealittle donation website is going to start getting a little of its own.
It's slapping a five percent fee on people for its services, from September, saying it can't otherwise keep up with growth.
If the fee applied to the recent Awaroa Beach campaign, Givealittle would have got more than $100,000.
Lynne Le Gros heads the Spark Foundation which is Givealittle's parent company.
She told Mike Hosking there's no other choice.
"Five percent is at the low end of what other platforms are charging. So there are costs to run platforms and all other platforms are charging that cost."
Le Gros said a five-percent fee is actually quite cheap.
"But we won't be covering all of the cost through the fee. The Spark Foundation will still continue to fund a substantial amount of the fees. Total running costs probably closer to around eight percent."
