A Kiwi ultra marathon runner has just run 5000km - in circles.
Harita Davies today completed a 52-day race that took place entirely within a single running circuit in Queens, New York.
She told Rachel Smalley that she meditates while running to "stay completely in the moment", which helped to beat the monotony of running the same circuit.
Davies ran 96km a day on average, suffering shin splints, ankle problems and losing most of her toenails in the process.
She plans to "rest and sleep" tomorrow, and it may be a while before her next run.
