A law expert says we're seeing a sea change when it comes to gender parity.

Today is International Women's Day and the theme is, 'Press For Progress'.

Super Diverse Women founder, Mai Chen told Kate Hawkesby the threshold has been tipped.

She says we're now talking about things we didn't feel we had the confidence to talk about in the past, through movements like #MeToo.

"We didn't think that we were able to say these things. We thought we just had to keep our heads down and suck it up, well people aren't sucking it up anymore, they are talking about it."

She says that's because there's a renewed status for women and a renewed respect for these issues.
