A small Bay of Plenty hapu have purchased an orchard for a record price of $40 million.
ANZ's head of Maori relationships David Harrison told Rachel Smalley that the Maori economy is growing.
"This trust has been existed since the 1970s... and through their strong management they've built up surplus over time.
"Working hard over generations to now be able to flex their muscles."
