A tough test for the Prime Minister today - she's meeting with Waikato farmers, just days after Mycoplasma bovis was found on a Cambridge farm.

Jacinda Ardern will be joined by Agriculture Minister Damien O'Connor.

He told Kate Hawkesby farmers across the country are facing a period of uncertainty.

"I think farmers are desperately looking for some clear signals. At this point we don't have the clear signal [of] can we eradicate or not."
