A debate among British MPs about whether Donald Trump should visit the United Kingdom is expected to achieve nothing.
The Queen has invited the US President to the UK, but a petition with 1.85 million signatures - argues against it.
At the same time, more than 300,000 have signed a petition in support of the visit.
Labour MP Stephen Pound told Andrew Dickens the debate will be a waste of time and money, and will pander to the egos of those who think Donald Trump is going to listen to them.
Pound said if the Queen has invited him, the best thing MPs could do is simply let Donald Trump come over.
"And then just not feed and pander to his massive ego by having great crowds of people waving placards and banners. Ideally, a silent presence of people turning their backs - that should get the message."
Pound said he finds some of Donald Trump's comments repulsive but said we need to respect the office, not necessarily the individual.
