In the ever-changing landscape of global politics we have the rise of the Pirate Party in Iceland.
LISTEN ABOVE: Party spokeswoman Thora Borg spoke to Rachel Smalley
It's a party that didn't exist four years ago, but is tipped to win the country's national elections in a few days.
Its members are a collection of anarchists, hackers, libertarians and Web geeks.
Spokeswoman Thora Borg told Rachel Smalley the Pirate Party is concerned with privacy rights.
"We kind of believe that people should be able to control their own data. That you ought to be able to be secure in your  communications and that companies or the government shouldn't collect your data."
Ms Borg said they feel a need to rebel.
"Responding from the geeks that set up the internet. The ideals that have been ruling internet governance to make sure that no government takes controls of it. That nobody's watching us unnecessarily."
