A woman who spent 17 years in a California prison for a murder she didn't commit has been declared innocent.
The judge's ruling clears the way for 59-year-old Susan Mellen to collect $650,000 in compensation from the state.
Ms Mellen had been wrongly convicted for beating a homeless man to death in 1997.
