Nasa’s Juno spacecraft has captured its first, dramatic close-up images of Jupiter.
The $1.1bn spacecraft has been orbiting the planet for nearly a year, and the space probe has revealed Jupiter to be more complex and surprising than ever thought.
Towering clouds, swirling cyclones and dramatic flows of ammoni that drive giant weather systems have been captured in the footage, as well as new measurements that reports say will help build an "unprecedented map of the planet’s interior".
