Firefighters have stopped the spread of an out-of-control grassfire in central Victoria.
An emergency warning has been downgraded to a watch and act alert for Mia Mia, Meadow Valley and Glenhope.
The Mia Mia fire crossed the Burke and Wills Track, also known as the Mia Lancefield Road, but fire crews were able to contain the fire just east of the road.
Firefighters continue to battle blazes in northern Victoria at Creightons Creek, near Euroa, which destroyed three houses yesterday, while another house was razed by a fire at Lake Rowan, near Wangaratta.
With a cool change expected to cross the state this afternoon, Emergency Management Commissioner Craig Lapsley says the winds could help or hinder firefighters.
He says if they shift, they'll move to burn more properties.
