A state of emergency is in force across much of Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, after a suicide car bombing.
Thirty soldiers were killed in the attack, making it the deadliest attack on the country's security forces since the army deposed the former President last year.
The state of emergency is expected to stay in place for three months.
Egypt's ambassador to the UK Nasser Kamel says they know who's responsible, but there also needs to be a general crackdown.
He says the whole region is facing a terrorist threat, from splintered groups which he says share the same "wicked" ideology.
