UPDATED 10.14PM: A suspect is in custody after at least five people were shot at a party in Mukilteo, near Seattle.

American media are reporting that several people have been wounded after a shooting at a house party. The extent of the injuries are not yet known.

Police and emergency service swooped on the area.

It is understood the party was being attended by teenage college students.

Reports claim at least 20 shots had been fired at the part.

It is understood a firearm has been recovered.
