Prayers and sermons about climate change are being delivered ahead of this week's climate talks in Paris.
John Key will attend the talks alongside world leaders.
Catholic, Anglican, Presbyterian and Methodist priests and ministers have asked him to make a strong commitment towards reducing carbon emissions.
Tear Fund advocacy manager Murray Sheard has expressed his concern the Pacific will come off second best.
"It's a sailor nation of land that no longer is able to be cropped. In the Solomons there's one village that is looking to be relocated at the moment."
Sheard said they'll be praying for change.
"It's probably the last time that we can really get commitments before it is too late and we start to have to wear the negative effects."
Christian organisations are concerned the Pacific will come off second best.
