Updated 1.44pm: Bali's governor doesn't want the two Australians due to be shot for drug smuggling to be executed on the island.

He says while he's in favour of the death penalty, an execution on Bali would spoil its peaceful atmosphere.

Indonesia has yet to set a time or place for the executions.

Hopes of a last minute reprieve for the two Australians facing a firing squad in Bali are fading.

The parents of Andrew Chan and Myurana Sukumaran say they're being kept in the dark..

"I've been told that he could just be given 72 hours and then taken out and shot. They're good kids, everybody makes mistakes, they did something stupid. They don't deserve to die."
