26 days after the election we're still waiting to hear make up of the new Government - but we're closer

Winston Peters has issued a statement saying the party will be in a position to make an announcement tomorrow afternoon.

NZ First MPs were behind closed doors all day and emerged just before 5pm to say they needed a little bit more time.

Peters says he's informed both Bill English and Jacinda Ardern of his decision.

He declined to front the media today.
