Opposition MPs are outraged at the latest TPP development.
The Parliamentary Committee hearing submissions on the trade deal has decided to spend five days, as opposed to four weeks, considering the material it's received.
Labour MP David Clark said it's a shocking case of political expediency.
"This tends to make it look like a sham. It does tend to suggest they are not particularly interested in what the public have to say about this deal."
Green MP Kennedy Graham said it shows the consultation is a farce and belittles those who have made submissions.
"You have to conclude that the Government is resolved to proceed as quickly as possible and clinically as possible to conclude the whole thing, get it out of the way."
