The National Party is appealing a decision by the High Court over use of the Eminem song Lose Yourself.
The Court of Appeal has confirmed it received notice of an appeal from the party on the 21st of this month.
The Court also confirmed a number of matters need to be processed before the case can be heard - such as paying the costs of an appeal - and it won't be heard until next year.
National was found last month by the High Court to have breached copyright in using the song in its 2014 campaign ad.
The Party was ordered to pay $600,000 in damages and interest to Eight Mile Style, the song's American publisher.
