The Labour Party has announced another electorate candidate to be part of Labour in 2017.

Priyanca Radhakrishnan has been selected as Labour’s candidate in Auckland's Maungakiekie electorate.

Radhakrishnan said the electorate is made up of many strong communities and she's looking forward to representing the electorate in Parliament.

She said she will work hard to make sure those voices are heard loud and clear in Wellington.

The seat is currently held by Local Government and Associate Health Minister Sam Lotu-Iiga.
