UPDATED 9.15am:Â The government's accused of being too partisan, by refusing to even engage with the Green Party on climate change.
New co-leader James Shaw has put a cross-party agreement on climate change as his number one priority.
But the Prime Minister has immediately given it the thumbs down.
Shaw says John Key isn't even trying.
"What I was trying to say was, 'why can't we get into a room and start the conversation'.
"I know that we're starting from very different places, but isn't the whole point for us to sit at a table and sort-of see where there might be some common ground.
"I think it's a bit weird for someone who's got such a history of deal making as he has to reject the idea before even getting into a room."
